How to Install IPTV on Smart TV (Samsung, LG & Sony Guide)

Smart TVs have made IPTV easier than ever — in many cases you can set up IPTV Canada directly on your television without any additional hardware. This guide covers every major Smart TV platform in Canada: Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Sony Google TV, and Android TV.

Before starting, make sure you have an active IPTV Canada subscription. You'll receive your credentials (M3U URL or Xtream Codes) via WhatsApp after subscribing.

Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS) — IPTV Setup

Samsung's Tizen OS doesn't allow sideloading apps directly. Here are the two main methods:

Method 1: Smart IPTV App

1. On your Samsung Smart TV, go to Smart Hub → Apps
2. Search for "Smart IPTV" and install it (one-time $5.99 USD purchase)
3. Note the MAC address displayed on screen
4. On your computer or phone, go to siptv.eu/mylist
5. Enter the MAC address and your IPTV Canada M3U URL
6. Click Upload and return to the app — your channels will load automatically

Method 2: SS IPTV App (Free)

1. Search for "SS IPTV" in Samsung Smart Hub and install it
2. Open the app and go to Settings → Playlist → Remote Playlist
3. Enter your IPTV Canada M3U URL
4. Press Load — your 20,000+ channels will populate

LG Smart TV (webOS) — IPTV Setup

LG's webOS supports IPTV more natively than Samsung. Here's the easiest method:

Method: SS IPTV App

1. On your LG Smart TV, open the LG Content Store
2. Search for "SS IPTV" and install it for free
3. Open SS IPTV and go to Settings → External Playlist
4. Select "M3U" and enter your IPTV Canada M3U URL
5. Press Apply — channels load within 60 seconds

Method 2: Via USB (All LG TVs)

1. On a computer, save your M3U playlist file (we provide this) to a USB drive
2. Plug the USB into your LG TV
3. Open SS IPTV → Settings → Local Playlist → select the M3U file from USB

Sony Smart TV (Google TV & Android TV)

Sony TVs running Android TV or Google TV have the most flexibility — they can run full Android IPTV apps:

Method 1: IPTV Smarters (Google Play Store)

1. On your Sony TV, open the Google Play Store
2. Search for "IPTV Smarters Pro" and install it (free)
3. Open the app and select Login with Xtream Codes API
4. Enter your IPTV Canada server URL, username, and password
5. Your channels load immediately — organized by category

Method 2: TiviMate via Sideload (Android TV only)

1. Enable Unknown Sources in Sony TV Settings → Device Preferences → Security
2. Install Downloader from Google Play Store
3. Use Downloader to download TiviMate APK
4. Install TiviMate and enter your IPTV Canada credentials

Android TV (Hisense, TCL, Philips, Sharp)

Many budget Smart TVs sold in Canada (Hisense, TCL, Philips, Sharp) run Android TV, giving them full access to Google Play Store:

1. Open Google Play Store on your Android TV
2. Search for and install IPTV Smarters Pro (free)
3. Follow the same steps as the Sony Google TV method above
4. Alternatively, install OTT Navigator for a more polished TV-guide experience

Tips for All Smart TVs

• Use ethernet: All Smart TVs have an ethernet port. Use it — wired connection dramatically reduces buffering on 4K channels
• 5GHz Wi-Fi: If ethernet isn't practical, connect to your router's 5GHz band instead of 2.4GHz — faster and less congested
• Clear app cache: If channels start buffering after a while, clear the IPTV app's cache in TV Settings → Apps
• Keep TV firmware updated: Smart TV firmware updates often improve streaming performance
